The drill commenced promptly at 5:00 PM with the sounding of a fire alarm. The scenario simulated a fire outbreak in the company's SMT workshop, triggered by aging electrical wiring. Upon discovering the "fire," the workshop safety officer immediately reported the incident to the fire control center and activated the emergency response plan.
The company's volunteer fire brigade quickly assembled and initiated initial firefighting efforts in accordance with the plan. Simultaneously, the evacuation guidance team directed employees from all workshops and office areas to cover their mouths and noses with wet towels, bend low, and evacuate swiftly and orderly along designated routes to the central assembly point in the factory compound. The entire evacuation process was conducted efficiently-from the alarm to the full headcount confirmation took just 3 minutes and 28 seconds, meeting all drill objectives.
Hands-On Training to Enhance Fire Safety Skills
After the assembly, the drill proceeded to the practical training segment on firefighting equipment. The company's safety officers provided on-site instruction on the appropriate applications and operational techniques for dry-powder and CO₂ fire extinguishers, demonstrating the standard "PULL–AIM–SQUEEZE–SWEEP" procedure. Subsequently, employee representatives from various departments took turns using extinguishers to tackle simulated fires, gaining firsthand experience in correct handling. The drill also featured a demonstration of fire hydrant hose connections and water discharge, with a focus on strengthening team coordination skills.

In his concluding remarks, the drill commander emphasized that fire safety is the lifeline of the enterprise.
